If you’re looking to dispose of your retired American flag, look no further than Maspeth Federal Savings Bank.
Maspeth Federal is teaming up with the Newtown Historical Society and Juniper Park Civic to place a flag collection box at the main branch of the bank, located at 56-18 69th Street.
The flags will be collected monthly and destroyed in a dignified manner, representatives say.
