St. Stan’s, Transfiguration get funding for food pantry

Some funding from the latest city budget is coming to St. Stan’s and Transfiguration.

Last week, Councilman Bob Holden announced that 10 food pantry sites in his district will receive a slice of the $95,595 total allocation.

The funding will go toward helping pantries that serve families in need.

Among the sites funded was Transfiguration Church and St. Stan’s.

“Many people fall on hard times in this city,” Holden says, “and a little bit of food from their local pantry can make a huge difference in their lives.”
