Last September, the city was supposed to start the replacement of the running track and the turf/soccer field at Juniper Valley Park.
That project was delayed, according to Community Board 5 District Manager Gary Giordano, due to a contractor issue.
At this month’s CB5 meeting, Giordano said the original contractor who was awarded the project pulled out at the last minute.
As a result, the city had to select the contractor that made the second-lowest bid, thus delaying the project timeline.
