Maspeth Rep. Grace Meng sworn into fifth term in Congress

For the fifth time, Congresswoman Grace Meng was sworn into office on January 3rd.

“I am honored to return to Washington and represent my constituents’ voices and interests in Congress,” Meng said. “As we commence the new 117th Congress, I am ready to immediately get to work to help American workers and families who have struggled and faced such unimaginable pain and loss throughout this pandemic.”

The congresswoman noted that Queens was the epicenter of the pandemic, and as a result, small businesses suffered, students struggled to learn in remote learning and many lives were tragically cut short.

One of her priorities this term will be to “fully stop COVID-19 in its tracks,” so the district recover and rebuild the economy, heal and reconnect with loved ones.

“I will prioritize legislation and work hard, every second, for that future,” Meng adds, “because everyone deserves a fighting chance.”
