After only five years in operation, the Holiday Inn at 59-40 55th Rd. in Maspeth may be closing.
Built in 2008, the five-story, 55,000 sq. ft. hotel between Maurice and Borden avenues is up for sale for $22 million, according to LoopNet.com, where the hotel has been listed for sale by Brooklyn-based firm CPEX Real Estate.
The hotel has 115 rooms and 31 parking spaces as well as a cellar and sub cellar, and sits on a 40,000 sq. ft. lot just off the Long Island Expressway and the BQE.
Zoning for the property is M1-1, and the hotel has a 35-year ground lease.
No information is yet available as to why the property is being sold.
