Everyone’s favorite topic of conversation is back!
We’re talking about the Maspeth truck routes, of course. A hearing on the proposed changes to the neighborhood’s existing truck routes will be held on February 9 at 7:30 p.m. at Martin Luther High School (60-02 Maspeth Avenue).
The city is planning to convert the Grand and Flushing avenue through truck routes into local truck routes, to improve traffic and air quality in the neighborhood. The proposal-debated in various forms for years and years- would take trucks off of Maspeth’s busiest commercial strips.
