Maspeth Pizza House – not Maspeth Pizzeria – has liquor license suspended

New York State has suspended 27 liquor licenses and brought 410 charges against restaurants and bars across New York for what Governor Andrew Cuomo says is a “dangerous situation” for failing to enforce social distancing guidelines and face masks.

Despite published reports that Maspeth Pizzeria at 71st Street and Grand Avenue lost its liquor license, according to State Liquor Authority records (see below) it appears it was in fact Maspeth Pizza House at 60th Street and 55th Drive whose liquor license is currently inactive.

Maspeth Pizza House was also cited on July 10 and July 19 for serving alcohol to dancing customers and other patrons that were failing to social distance.
