At 55-61 58th Street, the same location that was previously home to Rouge, the new City Scapes Gentlemen’s Club will be opening on Friday, December 12.

We asked locals what they thought about the new establishment, and for the most part no one we heard from was upset or surprised.

“It’s down by the factories, not in a residential area. It’s also replacing another strip club,” one Facebook user said. “What’s the issue?”

Another wrote, “Better than the one I have to pass with my kid near Eliot and Metropolitan.”

Someone else added, “Moral decadence is everywhere. It respects no borders; no neighborhoods are more or less corrupt these days– just more or less ashamed of it and prone to conceal it.”

Flyers like the one below have been populating local Twitter and Instagram feeds by several users more and more frequently in anticipation of the opening.
