PS 58 is renovating its school playground, thanks to funding from local politicians and the Trust for Public Land.
The community playground will have features like a running track and turf field, basketball hoop, volleyball court, ping pong tables, play equipment and more.
According to Principal Adeline Tripoli, the grand opening will be fittingly on September 11, as the school is named the “School of Heroes.”
Students also played a big role in designing the playground.
