Maspeth’s Shea Duffy To Shave His Head Sunday @ 4PM

He raised more than $40,000 for Memorial Sloan Kettering

Today, Sunday September 30th at 4pm at Sidetracks, 45-08 Queens Blvd Sunnyside, Duffy, a student at St. Adalbert’s school and resident of Maspeth, will shave his head to mark the success of his fundraising efforts by quadrupling his goal of $10,000 and reaching beyond an impressive $40,000.
Young Shea wanted to help raise funds for Memorial Sloan Kettering after his aunt battled breast cancer. “This cause is close to my heart because my Aunt Anne has gone through a battle with breast cancer and I want to help other families who face this illness” the 12 year old stated.

The compassionate youngster hit up relatives, friends and neighbors and started his efforts with a hefty goal to raise $10,000. He communicated well and connected with many as he stated his hope “that one day we will have a safe and quick solution to fighting breast cancer.”
