The Heroes Youth Basketball League has been serving local kids & families every spring / summer since 1990, and Maspeth Federal Savings Bank wants to help support the Heroes community; where local teams, kids, families, and businesses connect in fun, family-like atmosphere.
Heroes participants range from ages 8-17. Games are on weeknights at Crowley, Juniper, and Frontera parks during the months of May, June, and early July. Heroes game results & high scorers are published in the Queens Ledger Newspaper each week.
Each week, Heroes will be naming a “Hero of the Week” for each age division (17u, 14u, 12u). This player of the week will be awarded a MFS “swag bag” which contains cool items. Their picture will also be posted on the league’s Instagram.
Maspeth Federal employees are proud members of numerous community-service and charitable organizations, such as The Maspeth Chamber of Commerce, The Veterans Memorial Day Parade, The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life in Middle Village, and more… All helping to make our neighborhoods better for our children, families and neighbors.
Maspeth Federal is the bank that “Treats you like Family”, and “we do this because we live in the communities we serve – we are your neighbors, associates, customers and friends. We believe that by giving back we’re helping our communities remain healthy and strong,” said Bank President & CEO, Tom Rudzewick.
Maspeth Federal’s main office is located at 56-18 69th Street in Maspeth, and their phone number is (718) 335-1300. MFS also has branches in Ridgewood, Forest Hills, Rego Park, Fresh Meadows, and New Hyde Park.
