The Department of Design and Construction says that there will be water service interruption today, Thursday, January 2, beginning at 8AM for homes on 69 St. near Calamus. Vietnam Veterans Memorial opens on Friday

After decades of advocating, funding and construction, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Queens is finally here. On Friday, 10 a.m. at Elmhurst Park, at the corner of Grand Avenue and 79th Street, Borough President Melinda Katz will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
