Maspeth Memorial Park to host WTC memorial

Screen Shot 2014-09-03 at 3.42.37 PMIn order to pay homage to those who gave their lives, or whose lives were taken in the horrific terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, the Maspeth community will gather on Sat., September 6 at the Maspeth Memorial Park on Grand Avenue at 11 a.m.

The Maspeth community suffered the loss of 25 individuals in the attacks and the aftermath, with the locally-based HAZMAT 1 unit of the FDNY sustaining heavier losses than any other firehouse in the city.
