104th Precinct arrests suspect in knifepoint robberies

Bryant AguilarDetective Tommy Bell of the 104th Precinct announced Monday that police have a suspect in custody for a recent slew of knifepoint robberies.

“Bryant Aguilar, 21, of Brooklyn, NY was arrested by the 104th Precinct Detective Squad today, March 10, 2014, at 12:15 p.m. and charged with four separate counts of robbery,” Bell said in an email. “The robberies occurred during the last two weeks of February.”

In total, there were seven robberies reported between Jan. 22 and Feb. 24, with three of these occurring on Feb. 24 alone.

Originally, the 104th reported that they suspected two white or Hispanic males, one roughly 5 feet 4 inches and the other roughly 6 feet tall, in the string of knifepoint robberies. Police have yet to comment as to whether Aguilar had a partner in crime, or whether there are still suspects at large for the three remaining knifepoint robberies.

No injuries were reported as a result of the robberies.
