St. Stan’s students create cards for nursing home

Students from St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Academy recently brought some joy for seniors living at the Dry Harbor Nursing Home.

Last week, students safely dropped off colorful, homemade cards for the nursing home residents, who were badly affected by the lack of visitation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

When school leadership was informed that the residents needed their spirits lifted, St. Stan’s Principal Catherine Mangone sent out an email asking St. Stan’s families to help out.

The students delivered, making cards that were put into a “mail box” that sat outside the school everyday for a week.

First grader Gianni Falconi and his mom then delivered the cards to Dry Harbor Nursing Home.

During difficult times like these, we need more acts of kindness like the ones delivered by St. Stan’s and its students.
