After a Summer-long rennovation to a classroom on the 2nd floor of the century-old Catholic elementary school on Grand Avenue at 61st Street, a state of the art STREAM Lab will be opened November 13th.
Principal Catherine Mangone announced the opening last month after the academy management team decided to add an extensive program for all students. The highly anticipated lab will include programs for cognitive learning in the fields of science, technology, religion, engineering, art and math.
According to sources in Maspeth, enrollment is up and the academy has been quite successful in raising resources for the students in recent years. This summer classrooms were renovated and there were extensive renovations to most of the building interior. The STREAM LAB ribbon cutting is at 1PM, Wednesday, November 13th at the school, 61-17 Grand Avenue, and is open to the press and public.
