LIE Exit to close Overnight Monday July 9 until the 14th

The exit on the LIE from the Midtown Tunnel to get to Maspeth will be closed at night for a week. Exit 17W-E ramp (pictured above) from the eastbound Long Island Expressway (I-495) to the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway (I-278) will be fully closed overnights (11 p.m. to 5 a.m.), starting on Monday night, July 9th and ending  Saturday morning, July 14th. Either get off right after the tunnel and take Borden Avenue or take the LIE to Woodhaven Blvd.

Get off the exit to the right of the tunnel, just 100 feet out, then make a left and travel along Borden Avenue - pass the Borden Avenue Veterans Shelter - take past Greenpoint Avenue and onto the lower LIE to get off Maurice Avenue.
