Home Depot Store Coming To Maspeth

The 7-acre Coca Cola Bottling Plant site located at 59-02 Borden Avenue, just west of Maurice Avenue at the east bound service road of the Long Island Expressway, is to be the new home of a Home Depot Store. The site has plenty of parking and the 200,000 square foot building seems to be a perfect size for the home improvement center. There is no word yet on the timing of the opening but sources say the site was sold for just under 70 million dollar asking price. Back in the 1960s the site was home to the Canada Dry Bottling Company and more recently Coca Cola bottled it’s signature brands including Dasani water at the site.

Coca Cola Bottling is said to be moving its operations upstate while Home Depot’s closest stores are on Woodhaven Blvd. & Metropolitan Avenue in Glendale as well as 48th Street & Northern Blvd. in Woodside.
