St. Stan’s Hall of Fame Induction Event a Success

On Saturday, April 29th 2017, ten people were put into the St. Stanislaus Hall of Fame.

The new members include people from all ends of the parish spectrum, including the family doctor who, by all accounts, takes care of a good percentage of the parishioners. Dr. Stephen Reuben has his family practice office is just steps away from the church on Maspeth Avenue.

Kim Borenstein, a long time teacher, Rosie and Murray Molina – from Sports and Mothers Club and Debra Study from the choir were also inducted.

Martin Kaiser, an usher at the church as well as Margaret Byrnes and James Desio (Uncle Jimmy), who both attended St. Stans in the 1930s were honored into the Hall.

Rounding out the class of 2017 is Thomas Rudzewick, a graduate of St. Stanislaus school who is the president- CEO of Maspeth Federal Savings along with Fr. Vytautas Volertas, a priest from Transfiguration Church.

Nearly 200 people attended the event in the school hall. TheĀ event raises money for the continuation of top-notch education at St. Stanislaus School. Nearly $25,000 was raised towards scholarships and summer enrichment programs at the school.
