Maspeth residents, Lou Selamaj and Rich Adamiak are staying true to their roots.
The duo recently opened The Maspeth Pizza House at 55-60 60th Street (near the McDonalds on Maurice Avenue).
Lou and Rich renovated their pizzeria / Italian restaurant / full bar with new, modern fixtures, including brand new seating, bar, televisions, kitchen and a brick oven pizza stove. It shares a parking lot with the McDonalds, so there is ample parking available.
Happy hour at the MPH is from 4pm – 7pm, Monday through Friday, and features 1/2 price on drinks, beer, appetizers and 10″ pizza.
The full menu includes:
Appetizers available are: buffalo wings, fried calamari, meatball sliders, chicken parm sliders, mozeralla sticks, chicken fingers, jalapeno poppers, zucchini sticks, fresh mozzarella, and tomato and shrimp cocktail.
Pasta dishes available are: baked ziti, baked lasagna, baked manicotti, baked shells, linguini with white or red clam sauce, penne w/ brocolli rabe, chicken tre scallini, and six cheese tortellini. You can also make your own pasta by choosing your favorite type of pasta and the sauce you want.
Specialty wood fired pizzas available are: margherita, white, chicken bacon ranch, meat lover’s, hawaiian, buffalo, chicken caesar, 
veggie, and proscuitto.
Sandwiches available are: Grilled chicken, chicken parmigiana, eggplant parmigiana, meatball parmigiana, sausage and peppers, philly steak, chicken caesar wrap, california chicken, veggie wrap, greek wrap, and steak italiana.
Entrees available are: eggplant parmigiana, chicken parmigiana, chicken marsala, chicken francese, veal parmigiana, veal marsala, veal francese, salmon oreganata, 
flounder oreganata, shrimp scampi, and shrimp parmigiana.
Desserts available are: Italian & traditional cheese cakes, chocolate layer cake, carrot cake, tiramisu, and tartufo.
The Maspeth Pizza House has a huge selection of beers and alcoholic drinks.
“Tried the chicken parm hero and margarita pizza both were delicious! The bartender Evan made a great cosmo and mixed drink,” said Lisa from Maspeth.
“The pizza is so worth the 30 minute drive from Long Island! The staff is so friendly. The bartender is on point with the drinks and I look forward to walking in and seeing one of the owners personally greet their customers!” said Emily who traveled from Long Island.
Lou and Rich have plans to open up a large dining room right next door. The Maspeth Pizza House will then be able to host large parties.
They do cater, and if customer reviews are any indication of how good their food is, then they seem like an excellent choice for catered food.
