The Chase Bank located at 54-12 48th Street in Maspeth was the latest target in a string of recent bank heists in Queens.
Police are looking for a man who has stolen more than $17,720 from at least six different banks from September 30 to December 27.
Yesterday afternoon, at about 2:40 p.m., the man, pictured above, passed a note to the teller demanding cash. The teller complied, giving him $5,000 before the suspect fled.
In each robbery, the suspect passed the teller a note demanding money.
The thief also robbed Chase Banks in the following neighbors:
- Briarwood ($2,100)
- Bayside ($5,000)
- Jamaica ($4,620)
- Richmond Hill ($1,000)
- Forest Hills (Unknown amount)
- Maspeth ($5,000)
