Maspeth woman busted in scheme that targeted elderly

A 32-year-old Maspeth woman was one of three arrested in a burglary pattern that allegedly preyed on elderly victims within the confines of the 104, 110, 111 and 115th precincts, police said yesterday.

According to police, the the three individuals would allegedly pose as utility workers or use children to gain entry into homes. Once inside, they would remove property from the residence.

The arrested individuals are:

  • Rosie Cristo, 32, of Maspeth. She’s charged with burglary-hate crime, burglary, grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property and petit larceny.
  • Tony Cristo, 35, of Jamaica. He’s charged with burglary-hate crime, two counts of burglary, grand larceny, possession of a forged instrument, criminal possession of stolen property, petit larceny and aggravated unlicensed operator.
  • Theresa Howard, 36, of Staten Island. She’s charged with burglary-hate crime, burglary, grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, petit larceny and false personation.
