The Heroes Youth Basketball League is run every summer since 1990, and has been effective in connecting kids, families and local businesses through a family-like atmosphere.

Kids and families from parishes in Maspeth, Middle Village, Glendale, Ridgewood and surrounding areas have always raved about heroes because of it’s fun, fair level of competition and very affordable pricing. There are divisions for 10 years old and under for boys, 12 & under boys, 14 & under boys, and 17 & under boys. Games are held at Crowley, Juniper, and Frontera parks on weeknights.

 

Slide Bar-B-Q, a top BBQ restaurant in Maspeth wants to connect with families involved in Heroes by offering “player-of-the-game” and “MVP of the week” gift cards to the restaurant. The MVP will be chosen by game officials at the end of each week.
