‘Fable’ at Knockdown Center: A Musical Experience

Filmmaker Derrick Belcham and choreographer Emily Terndrup have partnered together again for another performance series at The Knockdown Center at 52- Flushing Avenue in Maspeth.

After working together on ‘Debut’ and ‘The Wilder Papers,’ the duo opened ‘Fable’ last night. Still, on October 9th and 10th, as well as on October 15-17, you will be able to listen to original music from artists like Styler Skjelset, Sarah Neufeld, White Hinterland, Prince Rama and Hanna Epperson. There will also be dance performances by Rebecca Margolick, Kenna Tuski, Dan Walczak and Ashley Robicheaux.

The showcase each performer, the production features a sound-reactive enclosure and a floor-to-ceiling transformative light system. The show is meant to immerse the audience on an encounter between a man and a mysterious voice who teaches him the boundary between delusion and actuality.
