Maspeth slated for installation of TWC Maxx

In a tweet on August 6, Time Warner Cable revealed that Maspeth is going to be one of the first neighborhoods in the city to be upgraded to their newer, faster TWC Maxx service.

The tweet was in response to an inquiry by Bronx native DJ Les-Boogie asked Time Warner Cable when TWC Maxx was coming to New York City as promised in a July 31 news update that came after the announcement of second-quarter earnings from the company’s CEO Rob Marcus.

According to the July 31 release, the TWC Maxx upgrade will come at no extra cost, and will provide more reliability, along with all-digital TV, a larger On-Demand library, and a new set-top box with Enhanced DVR.

Other neighborhoods slated for installation include Southern Manhattan and Ozone Park, “with other areas to follow soon after,” according to TWC Help.
